Data tells what.Context tells why.
Context is the knowledge about your store that isn't in the data: goals, margins, priorities and seasonality. With it, Data Octopus Brain recommends what makes sense for you specifically.

Decision memory
Every approved and rejected recommendation teaches the system how and why you decide.

Questions about context
What is business context in e-commerce data analysis?
Business context is information about a store’s goals, priorities and specific characteristics that helps interpret data correctly. The same sales result may call for different actions depending on margins, seasonality, stock levels or the stage of a product’s development.
Why is Google Ads data alone not enough to make decisions?
Google Ads shows advertising performance, but does not describe the store’s entire strategy. A decision to change a budget also requires knowledge of product profitability, stock availability, business goals and sales priorities.
How can business context change a campaign recommendation?
Low ROAS may suggest reducing advertising for a product. However, if the product is new, has a high margin and its selling season is approaching, another action may be worth considering. Context lets you assess performance against your strategy instead of applying one rule to every product.
What is the difference between business context and decision memory?
Business context describes the store’s current situation and priorities. Decision memory concerns previous decisions and the reasons behind them. Together, they help keep data analysis consistent with how the business operates.
Do I have to complete all the context at once?
No. Brain works from day one on data alone. Every area you complete raises the quality of recommendations.
How long does it take to complete the context?
The system suggests answers, so usually you just confirm or correct them. You can do it in stages.
Can I change the context later?
Yes. Your business changes, so the context does too. You can update it at any time.
Who has access to the context?
Only the people you give access to the store in the app.
Is my data used to train AI?
No. Your data and context are used only to work for your store.
